Founder Jacinta Sanders knows that vintage fashion is always more stylish, unique and of better quality than the fashion of today.
Australia has only really come into its own fashion wise in the past 40 years, therefore leaving a huge gap in the market for quality vintage. America and Europe were the leaders in fashion from the 1920's,especially where hats were concerned. The wealth of these continents at that time was also far superior to Australia.
Jacinta like many others shares a huge passion for "going to the races". Australia's fascination for the races has resulted in our country having the most popular event in the world for horse racing "The Melbourne Cup" followed by race meets on nearly every day of the calender year somewhere in our great country.
Women want to wear a hat to the races, not everybody though can afford some of the ludicrous prices now being put on hats. Jacinta realised that women want to look stylish and unique without the price tag!
Hence Circa was born...
Circa offers genuine vintage hats that are fully imported at affordable prices. Most of the hats have their own story and are one off's. Most have been carefully stored sometimes for up to seventy years and some come from New York's famous 5th Avenue.

In our first year we have seen many celebrities wearing our hats and have also won a major "fashions on the field" that was photographed for the Herald Sun.
